Earlier, we touched on how knee scooters are much more comfortable and easier to use than crutches. They have other benefits, too, such as the following:
  • Knee scooters allow you to keep your lower leg rested on the knee pad while your foot remains elevated. With crutches people have a tendency to inadvertently place weight on the injured leg which knee scooters do not allow.
  • Knee scooters have a variety of features to give you greater mobility, such as turning mechanisms and handlebars.
  • Knee scooters are safer. You don’t have to worry about slipping or tripping as you would when you use crutches. Since they’re usually built lower to the ground, they offer more stability.
  • Knee scooters won’t hurt your arms and wrists as in the case of crutches. In addition, you don’t need to have good upper body strength in order to use them.
